Di Willis – Ministries Director

Di was one of the co-founders of the ministry along with her husband Hugh and close friend Margie Willers. She works fulltime as the Ministries Director in a voluntary capacity and is very involved in the Drop In Centre in Auckland. Her training as an Occupational Therapist has given her valuable insight in her development of teaching resources and information booklets used for training and educating others about people with disabilities.

Joy Pollock — Drop In Centre Coordinator

Joy co-ordinates the Drop In Centre Team, which includes Melissa, Tanya and Hanna. The Drop In Centre is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Mt Smart Rd, and aims to give disabled people spiritual encouragement, guest speakers, creative activities, prayer, outings, outreach, fellowship and support in a warm friendly atmosphere.

Kirsty Anderson – Ministry Liaison

Kirsty oversees promoting the Elevate Ministry in the larger community. This includes the relationships we have with Churches and Christian ministries, making sure they are supported in their efforts of inclusion for people with disabilities. She also develops and updates our educational resources and training seminars, and assists in organising many of our camps.

Melissa Buys – Activities Coordinator

Melissa is responsible for the activities and Bible study programme. Working with drop-in centre clients, Melissa has a special interest in Elevate’s three E’s , “evangelise, equip and educate”, developing outreach and discipleship strategies tailored to disabled people.

Teremoana Va’a  (Tere) – Receptionist

Tere assists with operational administration for the drop-in centre and National Office. She is responsible for guided tours, customer service and visitor orientation. She is the face you’ll see at Reception.

Mariana Onofia — National Office Administrator

Mariana is our administrator, and IT support. She coordinates day-to-day administration at the National Office. She assists the Ministries Director facilitating communication and correspondence. She also produces alternative accessible formats for our publications.

Hanna Esekia – Kitchen & Nurse Aide

Hanna acts as our nurse aide, and helps with the personal care of some of our clients. She also oversees the smooth running of the kitchen, including morning tea, afternoon tea, and lunch for our clients.

Grant Thompson – Maintenance / Driver

Grant is responsible for general maintenance and upkeep at the Centre in Mt Smart Road. He is also the main driver of the Elevate van, which is available to transport those with mobility impairments to the drop-in centre.


We have a wonderful group of volunteers, many of whom have been with us for years now. These people are crucial to helping our staff do what they do. We are greatly blessed by having such faithful servants!
