Drop-in Centre: Term Two 2026

Trust News and Updates

The Centre Programme has gone well this term. We would like to acknowledge Sarah's many years of contributions to the Programme and wish her all the best in her retirement. We especially appreciate her willingness to come back and visit us once in a while, it's good to see our friends again.

Mitchell has taken up the role as Programme Coordinator, and with a lot of help from all our attendees and volunteers we've enjoyed many fun activities, times of prayer and worship, and guest speakers and performers. One highlight was the drama and worship time with the Equippers Bible College students, it was great to meet them all and have the opportunity to pray and worship God together. Many of the students also commented on this being a significant experience for them as well, sharing together and praising God alongside us.

Another highlight was having our friend Donna come again to help us find our creativity and create an art project that reminded each of us of our value to God, like valuable gemstones hidden in plain sight.

It's been great to come together as an Elevate family to support each other, with many opportunities to pray for each other's needs and those needs of the wider world as well. It's great to have a place where people have time to listen to each other and be heard, where we can see our friends regularly and make new ones.

It's encouraging to learn about God and the Bible together, and to see people absorbing and remembering what God has done for each of us.

We're also blessed by our volunteers who help not only to keep the programme running, but to help all of us to participate and engage with each other and with the activities each week. Thanks for your willingness to show up and support us.

While change is always a little disruptive, it felt like the Programme quickly adapted and has continued to be a safe and friendly place for us all to spend time together with each other and with God. We're looking forward to seeing what God does next in this space.
