God in Every Season: From sunrise to sunset—let the name of the Lord be praised!

God in Every Season: Praising from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets

By Mark Grantham (with help from Faye Angelo)

 1  Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, you his servants;
      praise the name of the Lord.
2  Let the name of the Lord be praised, both now and forevermore.
3  From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
      the name of the Lord is to be praised.

    (Psalm 113:1-3)

This psalm is on my heart because I feel it is so important to praise God all the time. From morning until night, all day, every day, wherever we are.  Truly we need to ‘Praise the Name of the Lord’; when I don’t really feel like it, when I am happy, when I am sad, days when I don’t feel much at all.

I praise the Lord, Why?  Because he asks us to praise him. I praise him because He loves me, He helps me, He gives me hope and strength every day.

When I Praise the Lord it gets my eyes off myself  and I see the bright light of God. I am lifted up from my wheelchair to appreciate the greatness of God , his power, his majesty and his love.

I praise God by singing songs, thanking him for who he is and what he has done for me.

Let’s keep praising the Lord, every day, all day, anywhere and everywhere.
