Welcome to Whakatāne Joy Ministries
Joy Ministries in Whakatāne is a welcoming community where people with intellectual disabilities, along with their families and supporters, can gather in faith, friendship, and fellowship.
We meet fortnightly at the Whakatāne Baptist Church Centre, beginning with the wider church congregation for singing, prayer, and notices, followed by a dedicated Joy Ministries session with Bible teaching, worship, sharing, interactive activities, and prayer for one another. After the session, everyone enjoys tea, snacks, and socialising with the wider church community. Meetings run from February through mid-December.
