Forgiveness is Freedom! ~ Heather Major

'I - yes, I alone - will blot out your sins for my own sake...'' Isaiah 43:25 NLT In Old Testament days when a man 'blew it,' he brought a lamb to the altar as payment for his sins. But notice this: the priest didn't examine the man, he only examined the lamb. If the lamb met God's requirements the man was instantly forgiven. That is still how it works! When you fail, you need only approach God and say, 'Father, I come in the name of Jesus asking for forgiveness.' In that moment the Father's … [Read more...]

One body but many parts

1 Corinthians 12 v 12-27 12 There is one body, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ. 13 We were all baptized by one Holy Spirit. And so we are formed into one body. It didn’t matter whether we were Jews or Gentiles, slaves or free people. We were all given the same Spirit to drink. 14 So the body is not made up of just one part. It has many parts. 15 Suppose the foot says, “I am not a hand. So I don’t belong to the body.” By saying … [Read more...]

God determines the times and seasons

“It is God who alters the times and seasons, and he removes kings and promotes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. “Daniel 2:21ISV The sun and moon were created to give light to the earth, to separate day from night, and serve as signs to mark seasons, days and years. Time, is a temporary interruption in eternity. It is a commodity that can neither be bought nor sold. The only thing you can do with time is use it. If you don’t use it, you lose it. If time … [Read more...]

I was thinking about anger when I got very angry recently. I won’t go into the reasons, but it left our family deflated and I felt really bad about it. It’s not the first time this has happened, I tend to have a short fuse at times, which upsets others as well as myself. I prayed about it, and yes, I know God has forgiven me one more time, after many times. Then I decided to look on how God and His son Jesus handled anger. Did you know that he displayed anger many times? Not my sort of … [Read more...]

Trust ~ by Toria Newman

In Proverbs 3:5-7, the writer tells us to "Trust in The Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths". Daniel understood this very well. In Daniel 1, the story is told of how Daniel and his three friends had been captured by King Nebuchadnezzar and taken to Babylon. A eunuch is assigned to Daniel to instruct him in all the literature and the language of the Chaldeans, and to feed him up with the best … [Read more...]
