John serves as the Mechanical Technician in charge of the Engineering Workshop at Victoria University’s School of Architecture and Design in Wellington. Alongside his professional career, John and his wife Lyn have been deeply committed to the Wellington Branch of Christian Fellowship for the Disabled since its inception in 1982, faithfully serving as Chairperson and Secretary respectively.

In 2012, John was honoured to join the board of the Elevate Christian Disability Trust, where he contributes his leadership and practical expertise. He is also an active member of the Avalon Assembly of God Church Board, supporting the community through faithful service.

John and Lyn are proud parents of a daughter and a son, and doting grandparents. Their grandchildren bring joy and energy to their lives, keeping John happily wrapped around their little fingers. Through all his roles, John demonstrates a steadfast commitment to faith, family, and fostering inclusive communities.
