Emmanuel Support
We are a support group for parents who have children with disabilities.
Our aim is to give spiritual, emotional and practical support to parents and families of a child with any disability.
- We support families at the time of discovery of the child’s disability and to deal with feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- We help by holding friendly and supportive meetings where mothers and fathers can share freely without fear of judgment.
- We help others to find wholeness in Jesus Christ and to know that He is there to meet their every need.
- We have meetings for the whole family to join in as well as retreats for parents.
- Our big annual events are the Parents’ Retreat and the Elevate Family Camps.
- We send out a regular newsletter to keep you informed.

We welcome you to register for the Women's Retreat.
When: Thursday 24th April to Sunday 27th April 2025 (April 25th is Anzaz Day)
Where: Peacemakers Retreat Centre, 116 Fordyce Road, Parakai
This year's Women's retreat will be at Peacemakers in Parakai. That’s $150 per person for the 3 nights.
Note: There is a $50 per night option if you are not able to stay for the entire retreat.
Food: Due to the dietary requirements of some of our parents, and to keep the costs down, we have decided for people to bring their own food for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. We will provide morning and afternoon teas. You can bring food for yourself and/or something to share if you wish. It will be fun to prepare the meals together!
Bed Linen: Please bring your linen, including pillowcases. Blankets are provided.
We welcome you to register for the Men's Retreat.
When: Thursday 19th June to Sunday 22nd June 2025
